Minority Caucus Members Tour AHRC Facilities

(BROOKVILLE, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislators Debra Mulé (D – Freeport), Seth I. Koslow (D – Merrick) and Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) visited AHRC Nassau’s main Brookville campus on Tuesday, June 11.

 Accompanied on the tour by AHRC Board President Saundra Gumerove and CEO Stanfort Perry, the Legislators’ visit encompassed tours of various AHRC facilities situated at the Mansion as well as the Wheatley Farms & Arts Center, a 2.5-acre facility equipped with a farm, club house, greenhouse and farm house that opened in the fall of 2022 to connect community members with and without developmental disabilities based on shared interests.

 Since its inception in 1949, AHRC Nassau has provided person-centered supports to people throughout Nassau County, and partners with other organizations to provide a continuum of services and supports across a person’s lifetime for its more than 2,200 current clients. In addition to its main campus, AHRC operates satellite campuses in Plainview and Freeport.
