Legislator Kevan Abrahams to Honor “The Brown Boyz”
for Winning a Stellar Gospel Music Award
WHAT - Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D - Freeport) will honor the local music group “The Brown Boyz” winning “Quartet of the Year” at the 37th annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards - a recognition of their excellence in gospel music and their many contributions to the genre. The Stellar Gospel Music Awards are like the Grammy’s for gospel artist.
The award-winning musical group was honored during a ceremony that aired on BET on Saturday, July 16. “The Brown Boyz” are comprised of Long Island natives Curtis Brown (Freeport), Dennis Brown (Freeport) Willie Brown II (Freeport) and their cousin, Joe Williams III (East Meadow).
