(MINEOLA, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Lawrence) joined leaders of the County’s Office of Minority Affairs on Wednesday, Feb. 23 for a special program commemorating Black History Month. During an evening featuring music, historic reflections and spoken-word poetry from community leaders, Legislator Solages had the pleasure of congratulating event honoree Kerlene Richards, Manager of Patient Care Services at Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital.
“Kerlene Richards continues to be a fantastic and enthusiastic partner in collaborative efforts to improve the delivery of health care in the communities we serve,” Legislator Solages said. “It was wonderful to be on hand as she was recognized for all of her hard work, and I congratulate her and all of the evening’s honorees for making a positive impact on the lives of Nassau County residents.”
