(MINEOLA and VALLEY STREAM, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Valley Stream) was sworn in to serve his fifth two-year term representing the Third Legislative District during the induction of the 13th Nassau County Legislature on Monday, Jan. 13.
New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli administered the oath of office to Legislator Solages and his colleagues in the Minority Legislative Caucus. The Third Legislative District includes Elmont, Valley Stream, South Floral Park, Inwood and portions of Lawrence and North Woodmere.
“It is a true honor and a humbling privilege to serve the Third Legislative District,” Legislator Solages said. “I look forward to using my ears to listen to our communities’ issues and using my heart to understand them. Together, we can resolve issues, create opportunities for growth and peace, and ensure that local government works for everyone.”
