Following a presentation of New York State Citations by Assemblywoman Michaelle Solages, the Simon family presented plaques, featuring recent Valley Stream Herald articles about the festival, to Assemblywoman and Legislator Solages as a token of their appreciation.
“For nearly two decades, the Simon family has brought our community together for a joyous multicultural celebration of the performing arts, and it has been wonderful to see the growth of this tradition in Valley Stream,” Legislator Solages said. “I am thrilled that the Jazz Festival continues to thrive – something that is attributable to the Simon family’s hard work and vision.”
