(ELMONT, N.Y.) – The following is a statement from Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Lawrence) –
“This Sunday, the HOT 97 Summer Jam will be coming to the UBS Arena. I want to take a moment to welcome all the visitors who will be joining us in Elmont as we continue to celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop music – an artform that continues to lift our spirits and speak truth to power through the voices of so many talented performers,” Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D – Lawrence) said.
“Like many other events, this will increase congestion in the roads surrounding UBS Arena, and parking will be scarce. I urge everyone who is attending to follow all posted parking regulations, explore carpooling or mass transit options to get cars off the road, and to be considerate of the residential communities in which you may be parking,” Legislator Solages added. “Let's all be patient and work together so that everyone who visits Elmont this Sunday will get the full enjoyment out of this historic event.”
