(GARDEN CITY, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Lawrence) joined ERASE Racism at the Garden City Hotel on Wednesday, June 8 for a special reception honoring the organization’s Founder and President V. Elaine Gross for her more than two decades of tireless advocacy for a more just Long Island. During the event, Legislator Solages presented her with a Nassau County Legislature Citation in honor of her work.
“For the last 21 years, V. Elaine Gross has been at the vanguard of research, education, training, policy advocacy and civic engagement that has enlightened Long Islanders and placed all of us on a trajectory toward greater equity,” Legislator Solages said. “I applaud her for all she has accomplished through her tireless efforts and wish her all the best as she embarks upon what I am sure will be a fruitful new chapter.”
