(FARMINGDALE, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Lawrence) joined thousands of revelers and his colleagues in government to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community during Long Island Pride in Farmingdale on Sunday, June 12. The event attracted dozens of community organizations, elected officials and vendors. This was the first Long Island Pride Parade since the COVID-19 pandemic and the first time Long Island Pride was held in Farmingdale.
“A little bit of rain can never dampen our spirits when we stand together in support of equality and acceptance for the LGBTQ+ community,” Legislator Solages said. “Thank you to David Kilmnick, the LGBT Network and every person who had a hand in making Long Island Pride’s inaugural visit to Farmingdale such an inspiring success!”
