Leisure Pass
The Nassau County Leisure Pass identifies its holder as a Nassau County resident and is required for all residents 13 years or older (10 years or older for golf) for entry into many recreational facilities. The pass also provides residents with discounts to pools, rinks, and golf courses, which are operated by Nassau County Department of Parks, Recreation and Museums. Youngsters who utilize county-operated golf courses, regardless of age, must have a Leisure Pass.
Specialty marked Leisure Passes are offered to Senior Citizens, Veterans, Civic Volunteers, and people who have chronic physical or mental disabilities.
The Leisure Pass may be purchased at these locations:
- Bay Park
- Cantiague Park
- Cedar Creek Park
- Christopher Morley Park
- Eisenhower Park [Aquatic Center, Golf Course, Administration Building]
- Grant Park
- North Woodmere Park
- Wantagh Park
- Nassau County Rifle & Pistol Range [Mitchel Athletic Complex]
(The Aquatic Center is closed until June 12th.)

Resident Leisure Pass fee is $36.00
To obtain a Leisure Pass, proof of Nassau County residency is required, as follows:
A valid and current picture I.D. – NY State driver’s License, NYS DMV non-driver’s I.D. Passport or Active Military I.D., plus one item below with the same address as the ID being presented:

Please keep your Leisure Pass in a safe place. If it is lost or damaged, you may obtain a replacement pass for a $5.00 fee. The $5.00 replacement fee is non-refundable; the replaced Leisure Pass makes the original Leisure Pass invalid.

Additional Types of Leisure Passes
Disabled Leisure Pass
A Disabled Leisure Pass is available to Nassau County residents with chronic physical and/or mental disabilities. People applying for a Disability Leisure Pass must complete the certification form and have the form signed and stamped by a medical doctor or by the Nassau County Department of Health, with the description of their disability. Proof of residency is required as noted in the rules above for a regular Leisure Pass. Holders of this pass are eligible for discounted fees within the Nassau County Parks system. The Disabled Leisure Pass has a onetime cost of $30.00 and holders need only to validate residency and disability every three years to renew.

Senior Citizen Leisure Pass
A Senior Citizen Leisure Pass is valid for as long as county residency is maintained and proof of age is submitted (60 years and older); however, residency must be validated every three years. Proof of residency is required as noted in the rules above for a regular Leisure Pass. Holders of this pass are eligible for discounted fees within the Nassau County Parks system. The Senior Citizen Leisure Pass has a onetime cost of $30.00.
Veteran Leisure Pass
A Veteran Leisure Pass is available to Nassau County residents who served in the active military and who were discharged or released for reasons other than dishonorable. Persons applying for the Veteran Leisure Pass for the first time must submit a copy of veteran’s discharge papers (DD214) and proof of residency. Holders of this pass are eligible for discounted fees within the Nassau County Parks system. The Veteran Leisure Pass has a onetime cost of $30.00 and holders need only to validate residency every three years to renew.
Civic Volunteer Leisure Pass
A Civic Volunteer Leisure Pass is available to Nassau County residents who are active volunteers with ambulance, fire or auxiliary police. Persons applying for a Civic Volunteer Leisure Pass for the first time must submit a current department issued I.D. and proof of residency as noted in the rules above for a regular Leisure Pass. Holders of this pass are eligible for discounted fees within the Nassau County Parks system. The Civic Volunteer Leisure Pass has a onetime cost of $30.00 and holders need only validate association I.D. and residency every three years to renew.
Active Duty Military
Personnel and their spouses and children may use their Active Duty I.D. in lieu of a Veteran Leisure Pass
Active Duty Military are entitled to use county facilities free of charge at:

Military personnel are granted discounted fees at all other facilities where discounts apply.
Pass Transfers – There is no longer a time limit on transferring a pass from one category to another pending eligibility.
