Nassau County operates numerous museums and plays host to others by providing the property and physical facilities as well as other services. Museums directly run by the Nassau County Parks, Recreation, and Museums Department are denoted by an asterisk (*). These museums provide a range of artistic and educational experiences for the public. Select a museum name below for more information and links to dedicated museum websites. In addition, the county manages several historic homes that do not operate as separate museums, some of which are listed here.
