(UNIONDALE, N.Y.) – Road resurfacing work on Westbury Boulevard/Meadow Street in Uniondale and Garden City is scheduled to begin, weather permitting, in mid-March, Department of Public Works (DPW) officials have confirmed to Nassau County Legislator Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale).
The project area encompasses the length of roadway between Oak Street and Charles Lindbergh Boulevards in the respective communities. Motorists are encouraged to plan their daily commutes accordingly during the duration of the project.
“Each day, countless Nassau County motorists rely upon Westbury Boulevard/Meadow Street during their daily commutes as they go to work, conduct commerce, access recreation and fulfill family responsibilities,” Legislator Nicks said. “Keeping our County roads are in a state of good repair enhances community safety and our overall quality of life, and I am glad to see that this major roadway will soon be resurfaced. We appreciate your patience and understanding as these important upgrades are completed in the coming days.”
