- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
The EAP provides help to Nassau County employees and their families who may be having problems that interfere with daily living and functioning in the work place. These problems may concern relationships, money matters, job-related stressors, chemical abuse, grief and loss, and emotional and/or psychiatric disorders.
When you call EAP, a staff member will help to arrange an intake appointment for you. Usually you can get an appointment within 24 hours.
All services provided at EAP are strictly confidential. EAP must abide by the state and federal regulations of confidentiality.
All services at EAP are free of charge. Participants may be referred to a community-based agency for treatment. Most community-based agencies have sliding scale fees for their services and will accept private insurance or Medicaid.
