Nassau County Legislators Dennis Dunne, Sr. and Steve Rhoads joined together with the Nassau County Police Department’s Chief of Department, Steven E. Skrynecki, and Police PBA President James Carver to pay tribute to the three police officers killed in Baton Rouge on Sunday, July 17. During the ceremony, police officers laid a wreath at the Nassau County Police Memorial in front of NCPD Headquarters on Franklin Avenue in Mineola in honor of the fallen.
“Today, we honored the three slain police officers in Baton Rouge, and our hearts are with their friends and families. We are also reminded of the bravery of every member of the Nassau County Police Department who risk their lives each day to protect our rights,” stated Legislator Dunne.
