Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne, Sr. and Presiding Officer Norma Gonsalves had the privilege to honor seniors Caitlyn Buckley, Brandon Fitzgerald, Genesis Galo, Danielle Kaufman, Morgan Schamberg, Kevin Wallace, Lauren Burke, Alex Dempsey, Bryan Lebedz, Shannon Scarano, Alexa Stola and Amaninder Thind, from MacArthur High School in Levittown, as the recipients of the 2016 Nassau County Legislative Student Citizenship Awards. They were selected for their achievements both inside and outside of the classroom. While achieving academic excellence at their school, they also have spent a great deal of time volunteering throughout their community.
“They have exemplified their hard work and care for their community that we should all strive for,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “These young women and men truly have a bright future ahead of them.”
“These students have dedicated their time and effort to making their school and our community a better place to live,” said Legislator Dunne. “They are an example that we all should follow.”
