Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves recently attended a Gold and Silver Award Ceremony for the East Meadow Association of Girl Scouts at East Meadow High School in East Meadow. Presiding Officer Gonsalves honored Allison Astudillo, Marissa Flaherty, Alexandra Michaelis, Juliet Rafanelli, Kristen Kavanagh, Audrey Heyen and Rebekah Louie as recipients of the 2016 Gold Award for East Meadow’s Association of Girl Scouts.
Presiding Officer Gonsalves also honored Abigail Thacker, Mary Donnelly, Jessica Scheingold, Ryan Skoros, Katelyn Miller, Gabriela Cunha, Katie Morriss, Caroline Insinna, Shannon Floody, Brianna Bourne, Olivia Castillo and Daisy Delgado as recipients of the 2016 Silver Award for East Meadow’s Association of Girl Scouts. They were awarded for their development of strong character, teamwork, guidance and study.
“I’m so glad to see so many Girl Scouts receiving these honors today,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “They exemplify the best of our community and have bright futures ahead.”
