Nassau County Legislator Tom McKevitt recently joined with the Nassau County Police Department and the Levittown Community Action Coalition during a drug take back event at Wisdom Lane Middle School in Levittown. The collection yielded more than 500 pounds of prescription medications that are no longer in circulation.
“This event provided a secure and convenient way for residents to safely dispose of unwanted, unused and expired medications, McKevitt said.” I want to thank everyone from the community who participated and for the Nassau County Police Department and Levittown Community Action Coalition for coordinating and facilitating this successful endeavor.”
