LEGISLATOR MCKEVITT HOSTS “SHED THE MEDS” DRUG TAKE BACK EVENT

LEGISLATOR MCKEVITT HOSTS SHED THE MEDS DRUG TAKE BACK EVENT

Nassau County Legislator Tom McKevitt recently joined with the Nassau County Police Department and the Levittown Community Action Coalition during a drug take back event at Wisdom Lane Middle School in Levittown. The collection yielded more than 500 pounds of prescription medications that are no longer in circulation.

“This event provided a secure and convenient way for residents to safely dispose of unwanted, unused and expired medications, McKevitt said.”  I want to thank everyone from the community who participated and for the Nassau County Police Department and Levittown Community Action Coalition for coordinating and facilitating this successful endeavor.”

Shown in photo above with Legislator McKevitt (5th from L)) are: Town of Hempstead Clerk Kate Murray (far L), NYS Assemblyman John Mikulin (3rd from L), Hempstead Town Supervisor Don Clavin (far R) and police officers of the NCPD and members of the Levittown Community Action Coalition and YES Community Counseling Center.
