Nassau County Legislator Dennis Dunne, Sr. joined with American Red Cross Officials at the Mineola chapter of the American Red Cross to ask residents to consider some type of volunteer work.
The number of Long Islanders who volunteer has gone down significantly since the 2012 Superstorm Sandy crisis has waned, according to charity and government agencies.
