Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves recently attended Cub Scout Troop 157’s Blue and Gold Banquet held at DJ’s International Buffet in Garden City. The Blue and Gold Banquet, the highlight event of the Scout year, is to celebrate the pack, thank pack leaders and other adults who have helped the pack and for all cub scouts to attain rank and to bridge the Webelos to Boy Scouts. For Troop 157, Scout Raynier Asuncion will be bridging to Boy Scout Troop 157.
“The transition from Webelos to Boy Scouts is an important milestone for a Scouts progression,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “Raynier has been rewarded for his hard work and dedication and has been chosen to join a very select group. I am proud to join with him and his family as he continues on his path to becoming a Boy Scout.”
