A new independent analysis* shows the economic impact of filming TV shows and movies in Nassau County. Between 2013 and 2014, the film industry generated
$533 million in economic benefit for Nassau County and more than $1.6 million in sales tax revenue.
Filming in Nassau County has also helped keep Nassau employed. In 2013 and 2014, TV and Movie production generated 1,773 jobs.
Legislator Dennis Dunne, Sr. and County Executive Ed Mangano continue to promote Nassau County, also known as “Hollywood East”, as a premier host for the TV and Movie Industry.
