Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves (R-East Meadow, LD 13) attended Boy Scout Troop 192’s Eagle Court of Honor for Eagle Scout John D’Avanzo at the Bellmore Presbyterian Church in Bellmore. For his project John, a resident of Bellmore, undertook the task of planting new trees at the Norman J. Levy Park and Preserve to replace the trees lost by Superstorm Sandy.
“John has shown tremendous dedication to help restoring our community,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “These new trees at the park will allow residents to continue to enjoy the beautiful environments accessible throughout the County. I wish him the best of luck in all his future endeavors.”
