Nassau University Medical Center Board Chairman George Tsunis will be joined by Nassau County Veterans Committee Chairman John Ferretti, Nassau Veterans Service Agency Director Ralph Esposito, and dozens of United States military veterans to unveil a first-of-its-kind veterans sanctuary garden and service monument built for veterans, by veterans.
Five flag poles bearing the colors of each branch of the military are displayed. The outdoor reflection garden and seating area honoring the sacrifices and courage of American servicemen and women will be utilized by the hundreds of veterans who visit the hospital’s facilities each month.
A Color Guard will display the colors and an American Flag will be raised in honor of the veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice.
