Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves (R-East Meadow, LD 13) recently attended the Bellmore-Merrick Cultural Arts Foundation’s 37th Annual Cultural Arts Luncheon at the L.I. Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in Uniondale. Twenty-four students of the Bellmore-Merrick School District were named 2016 Cultural Arts Recipients in areas of Performing Arts and Visual Arts. During the luncheon there were performances by the Performing Arts recipients and a display and discussion of artwork by the Visual Arts recipients.
“I’m delighted to see the creativity from these students,” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “I wish you all the best in your art, school and everything to come.”
