Presiding Officer Norma L. Gonsalves (R-East Meadow, LD 13) recently attended a Bronze Award Ceremony for the East Meadow Association of Girl Scouts at East Meadow High School in East Meadow. Presiding Officer Gonsalves honored Troop 1050, Troop 1486, Troop 1811, and Troop 3174 as recipients of the Bronze Award for East Meadow’s Association of Girl Scouts. These troops were awarded for their projects: Pajama Project, Pediatric Chemo Care Packages, Time Capsule of Memories, When Adopting a Dog Rescue a Shelter Animal, Self Esteem and Keeping Our Community Safe.
“I’m proud to see so many Girl Scouts receive the Bronze Award.” said Presiding Officer Gonsalves. “They exemplify the true meaning of what Girl Scouts do for their community.”
