WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2016
Starting at 7:30PM
EAST MEADOW PUBLIC LIBRARY
1886 FRONT ST., EAST MEADOW, NY 11554
The Council of East Meadow Community Organizations (CEMCO) and Presiding Officer Gonsalves are co-hosting a community forum to introduce the community to the newly reinstated Nassau County Police Department POP Cop program. The POP (Problem Oriented Police) Cop Unit is comprised of a select group of Police Officers in each police precinct who perform community based policing to help build strong ties between the local community and the police department.
POP cops are “the face of the Police Department” in the local community. POP officers work very closely with the residents of the community on specific, “non-emergency” policing issues and with the school district hosting special programs for classes. Please join Presiding Officer Gonsalves for this important community event.
