“Since the assessment process began, the Majority Caucus of the Nassau County Legislature has fought to give residents a strong voice in the process. Assessor David Moog has caused error after error in the reassessment process, and has refused to hold any town halls to answer the public’s questions. Further, he refuses to release the algorithm that he used to determine the property values. Despite today’s setbacks, the Majority Caucus will continue to fight for greater accountability and transparency in the assessment process, and will continue to fight for the taxpayers of Nassau County.”
