“CLEAN-UP MASSAPEQUA PRESERVE DAY”
Nassau County Legislators Rose Marie Walker and James D. Kennedy are sponsoring a neighborhood clean-up at the Peter J. Schmitt Massapequa Preserve on Sunday, May 21st
All neighbors are invited to join the clean-up!
WHEN: Sunday, May 21, 2017 - 9:00 am to 11:00 am
WHERE: Peter J. Schmitt Massapequa Preserve
Meeting location: Corner of Parkside Blvd and Pittsburgh Ave.
“As Chair of the Nassau County Legislature’s Health Committee, I am dedicated to improving the health and safety of all county residents,” said Legislator Walker. “Discarded trash can be a breeding ground for germs and poses a safety hazard for those who want to enjoy our parks.”
“Our environment is precious, and we are fortunate to have the largest natural preserve in Nassau County right here in Massapequa,” said Legislator Kennedy. “Please stop by the Preserve on May 21st and lend a hand.”
CLEAN-UP TOOLS, SUCH AS PICKS AND BAGS,
WILL BE PROVIDED FOR ALL VOLUNTEERS
In the event of rain, the clean-up will be postponed until a later date
