Jodi Franzese
Nassau County Inspector General
Jodi, the County’s first-ever Inspector General, came to Nassau County government in 2019 from the New York City Department of Investigation (DOI) where she served as a Senior Inspector General. At DOI, Jodi managed a squad of investigators, auditors, analysts, and attorneys conducting confidential investigations regarding instances of fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, official misconduct, and corruption.
Prior to joining DOI, Jodi served as a Senior Assistant District Attorney in the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office. In her more than 17 years as a prosecutor, Jodi served in various units, including the Economic Crime Bureau and the Labor, Insurance, and Revenue Crime Bureaus. There she specialized in conducting complex, long-term investigations of individuals and organizations involved in the commission of criminal acts including frauds, embezzlements, investment scams, identity theft, welfare fraud, computer crimes, and larcenies.
Jodi is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law and Hunter College.
