Contractor Information
Requirements
The Contractor Plan Submission and Fee Guide sets forth the requirements for submitting plans to the Nassau County Fire Marshals Office for review. The guide addresses plan submission for fire and life safety systems such as:
- Automatic Extinguishing Systems
- Automatic Fire Suppression Systems
- Fire Alarms
- Fire Sprinklers
- Grease Hood and Duct Systems
- Smoke and Heat Detection Systems
Also addressed are site plans for new structures, tank and piping installations, and installations of LPG (propane gas).
In addition to "new" installations, the contractor guide addresses the requirements for systems modifications (relocate work), and for preliminary work (rough outs), which may be performed prior to final plan approval.
