On Friday, March 26th, Presiding Officer Richard J. Nicolello, along with local elected officials and the New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce, joined with the owners of Park Place Restaurant to cut the ribbon on their new location at 1218 Jericho Turnpike in New Hyde Park (formerly the “Olde Trading Post”).
After a devasting fire in September 2020 forced the restaurant to close its doors at its original location in Floral Park, owners Patrick O'Halloran and Matt Tesoriero have reopened Park Place with the same great menu and service. After extensive renovations, the new location provides another outstanding culinary option for local residents.
Presiding Officer Nicolello congratulated the owners on establishing the new Park Place. “It is great to see Pat and Matt reopen Park Place. They have rebuilt the restaurant better than ever and the community is thrilled to have this terrific restaurant in this location that has been a gathering spot for generations.”
