WHAT: As the Thanksgiving holiday approaches, Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) is partnering with the Woodbury Jewish Center to host a food drive for Island Harvest on Tuesday, Nov. 17. To more effectively address a drastic increase in food insecurity across Long Island amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and maximize the positive impact of this collection, donors are encouraged to contribute healthy, non-perishable food items.
“Compassion and philanthropy are the hallmarks of the upcoming holiday season, and as we approach this Thanksgiving holiday, I am grateful for the opportunity to join forces with the Woodbury Jewish Center as we seek to once again confront the tremendous need that has emerged during the pandemic and persists today.”
