LEGISLATOR GOETZ ATTENDS CEREMONIAL WILLISTON PARK FIRE TRUCK WETDOWN
Williston Park, NY— On September 28th, Nassau County Legislature Samantha A. Goetz joined with elected officials, firefighters and members of the Williston Park community for the “wetdown” of a new fire truck at the Williston Park Fire Department. Wetdowns are a ceremonial event where firefighters douse a new piece of equipment in water to bless the equipment and dedicate it to helping the community.
“I was very happy to join the Williston Park Fire Department for this great ceremony and dedicating their new fire truck,” Legislator Samantha A. Goetz said. “Our firefighters risk their lives every time they answer a call, and making sure they have the necessary equipment to make their jobs easier should be a top priority to all civil servants. Thank you for all you do!”
