WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D - Great Neck) will recognize Norooz - the Persian New Year - in the Legislative Chamber of the Nassau County Legislature on Tuesday, March 24.

Legislator Birnbaum’s third annual Norooz observance is being presented with support from the Sephardic Heritage Alliance, Inc. (SHAI), Iranian Mothers Association (IMA), the United Mashadi Jewish Community of America (UMJCA) and the Ester Chapter of Hadassah.
Light Persian refreshments will be served. Guests are asked to kindly RSVP to Legislator Birnbaum’s office by Friday, March 20 at 516-571-6210 or ebirnbaum@nassaucountyny.gov.
