NASSAU COUNTY LEGISLATIVE MAJORITY TO HOST HUMANITARIAN RELIEF DRIVE FOR UKRAINE


Collections Include Medical and Personal Hygiene Supplies 


The Nassau County Legislative Majority has started a Humanitarian Relief Drive to aid the victims of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The Legislature will have boxes in seven County locations where residents can drop off much needed medical and personal hygiene supplies between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:45 PM, Monday through Friday. The drive begins March 8th and will run until March 25th.

SUPPLIES THAT ARE NEEDED INCLUDE: 

MEDICAL:

•           FIRST AID KITS
•           BAND-AIDS
•           CHILDREN’S ALLERGY MEDICINE
•           TYLENOL/ADVIL
•           GAUZE
•           WIPES
•           MASKS
•           SURGICAL KITS
•           WOUND CARE SUPPLIES 
•           PPE

PERSONAL HYGIENE ITEMS:

•           TOOTHPASTE/TOOTHBRUSHES
•           BAR SOAP (NO LIQUID)
•           SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER
•           FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS
•           DEODORANT
•           HAIRBRUSHES
•           BLANKETS
•           SOCKS
•           COATS
•           SHEETS/PILLOWCASES

Drop off boxes are located at the Eisenhower Park Admin Building (Merrick and Stewart Avenues, East Meadow), The Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building (1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola), Cantiague Park (480 West John Street, Hicksville), Grant Park (1625 Broadway, Hewlett), Nickerson Beach (880 Lido Blvd, Lido Beach), Wantagh Park (One King Road, Wantagh) and Christopher Morley Park (500 Searingtown Road, Roslyn).
