Raymond Gresalfi and Angelo Ferrigno of Boy Scout Troop 544 were recently recognized at an Eagle Court of Honor ceremony in honor of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Raymond and Angelo’s achievements are the culmination of years of commitment, effort and preparation.
Raymond’s Eagle Scout project involved the purchase of a “Paragolfer”; an all-terrain wheelchair that helps those with limited mobility play a game of golf. Through his project fundraising efforts, Raymond was also able to build a shed at Huntington’s Crab Meadow Golf Course and donate the leftover funds towards the purchase of a second Paragolfer.
Angelo’s Eagle Scout project entailed the construction of a 24-foot raised flower bed surrounding the seating area at New Hyde Park Memorial High School. Angelo and his Troop also planted several Arborvite bushes to help beautify the school’s seating area.
