Mineola, NY - Due to a sewage bypass, the Nassau County Department of Health has closed the following six beaches to bathing as a precautionary measure, effective today, May 23, 2014.

Centre Island Sound in Bayville
Soundside Beach in Bayville
West Harbor Beach in Bayville
Roosevelt Beach in Oyster Bay
Laurel Hollow Beach in Laurel Hollow
