(MINEOLA, NY) –Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D-Great Neck) is hosting two workshops in February for residents who want to learn how to file a grievance of their assessment with the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission. The workshops will teach the public about the process of property valuation and how to file an appeal of the assessed value of their property if they disagree with their most recent assessment. A representative from the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission will be available to provide information and answer questions. Residents can attend either of the following events: a workshop at Great Neck House located at 14 Arrandale Avenue in Great Neck on February 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. or a workshop at Albertson VFW Post 5253 located at 155 Searingtown Road in Albertson on February 22, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The last day to file a grievance is March 1, 2018.
