Legislator Siela Bynoe, In Partnership with Fidelis Care, Adelphi and Sisters United In Health, Announces Mobile Breast Cancer Screenings via the NUMC ‘MammoVan’ to Women in Hempstead
Legislator Bynoe to host Nassau University Medical Center mammography van, offering breast cancer screening to both insured and uninsured women over 40 years old in Hempstead

WHAT: Legislator Siela Bynoe is pleased to announce that the Nassau University Medical Center Cancer Screening Van will be providing breast cancer screenings for women over 40 at Kennedy Memorial Park in Hempstead.
Mammograms are free for uninsured women, based on eligibility guidelines. Women with health insurance will be required to make a co-payment. Please bring a prescription for a mammogram from your physician to the appointment.
Appointments are required and will be scheduled on a first come, first serve basis. For an appointment, contact Legislator Siela Bynoe’s office at 516-571-6202.“Ahead of Mother’s Day, I encourage each and every Nassau resident to encourage the women in their lives to take the time to have a mammogram,” said Legislator Bynoe. “Early detection can save lives.”
There will be educational resources shared focusing on preventive care concerning women’s breast health, yoga demos, music, and light refreshments.
