Legislator Birnbaum Honors Steven Blank and Norman Dawson at the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce Small Businessperson of the Year and Legislative Breakfast Event
(MINEOLA, NY) –Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D-Great Neck) honored Steven Blank, the owner of the local weekly newspapers under the Blank Slate Media umbrella as well as Norman Dawson, the owner of Norman’s Auto Service in New Hyde Park with County Legislature citations at the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce Small Businessperson of the Year and Legislative Breakfast held on October 21, 2016. Steven Blank was the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce Small Businessperson of the Year while Norman Dawson was the Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce Small Businessperson of the Year. In addition to managing his group of newspapers, Mr. Blank serves on the Board of Directors for the Great Neck Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Dawson recently celebrated being in business for 50 years as owner of his New Hyde Park auto service and gas station. Mr. Dawson also serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater New Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce.
