(MINEOLA, NY) –Nassau County Legislator Ellen W. Birnbaum (D-Great Neck) in conjunction with the Nassau County Department of Assessment will hold tax exemption workshops on Thursday, August 25, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Great Neck House located at 14 Arrandale Avenue in Great Neck and on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Village of Lake Success Village Hall located at 318 Lakeville Road in Lake Success. If you are a homeowner, you could be eligible for a tax exemption. Come find out if you are eligible for savings on your property taxes through Basic STAR, Enhanced STAR, a Veterans Exemption, a Low Income Seniors Exemption, a Volunteer Firefighter and Ambulance Workers Exemption, or a Limited Income and Disability Exemption. Equipped with specially configured computers linked to the County’s database, the County Assessor’s staff will process property tax exemption applications on-site.
