Nassau County Legislator Donald MacKenzie was at the newly established Veterans Resource Facility at Nassau Community College to celebrate the grand opening of the facility.
The Veterans Resource Facility, which was originally part of Mitchel Field, an active military base during the 1920’s through the 1950’s, is set up as a designated space for veterans and military students to come together for workshops, educational events, club meetings, and other activities. It also includes study rooms with computers and meeting space for individual counseling sessions.
