(JERICHO, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) partnered with the Woodbury Jewish Center, Students Combat Corona and other local community organizations to host a clothing, food, and supply drive benefitting the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless, Mary Brennan Inn and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island on Friday, March 19. More than 1,000 individual items, including food, personal care items, tissue, paper towels, clothing, and household goods, were donated.
“Nassau County residents continue to amaze and inspire through their generosity,” Legislator Lafazan said. “Thanks to the success of this drive, the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless will be better equipped to deliver essentials to the families they serve. I thank Students Combat Corona and the Woodbury Jewish Center for their hard work and dedication to community service.”
