(LOCUST VALLEY, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) partnered with Home Depot of Syosset to bring holiday cheer to Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club families this holiday season.
“This holiday season is a difficult time for so many families in our community struggling financially in the wake of COVID-19,” said Legislator Lafazan. “I am proud to partner with Home Depot to make this holiday season special for these deserving families and spread joy to children residing in our district.”
“2020 has proven to be a very trying year for us all. During this holiday season, The Home Depot of Syosset wanted to add joy to some of our neighbors,” said Mike Gallo, Home Depot Syosset Community Liaison. “Through our ‘Operation Surprise’ program we sponsor two families in need, to provide each family with a Christmas tree, ornaments, holiday decorations and many other gifts for their children. In addition, they will each receive a check for $250. This is just a small token of gratitude from The Home Depot as we spread holiday cheer!”
“We are truly grateful and appreciative of Home Depot’s generosity and our ongoing partnership with Legislator Lafazan,” said Melissa A. Rhodes, Director of Programs and Professional Development, Grenville Baker Boys & Girls Club. “Your support of two amazing families that are facing difficult situations including job loss and health challenges due to the pandemic will help to make the holidays brighter and for that, we are thankful.”
