WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) is partnering with local youth volunteers to host a mask giveaway at the Woodbury Jewish Center on Sunday, Nov 8. Nassau County residents can receive 10 free surgical masks during the drive-through distribution event on a first-come, first-served basis.
“Equipping our residents with effective personal protective equipment (PPE) is an essential component of our regional strategy to keep the COVID-19 curve flat during the upcoming winter months,” Legislator Lafazan said. “It is a pleasure to collaborate with the Woodbury Jewish Center and local youth volunteers to lend a helping hand to our community.”
“Judaism holds protecting life as the highest value. We are honored to support this event,” Rabbi Jason Fruithandler, of the Woodbury Jewish Center, said.
