Mineola, NY – Due to heavy rainfall, the Nassau County Department of Health is issuing an advisory against bathing at eight North Shore beaches, effective today, July 8, 2016. This advisory is issued as a precautionary measure for beaches known to be impacted by stormwater runoff caused by heavy rainfall. Stormwater runoff can impact bathing water quality by elevating bacteria levels, which may cause exceedances of the New York State standard for bathing water quality.

Creek Club – Lattingtown
Lattingtown Beach – Lattingtown
Laurel Hollow Beach – Laurel Hollow
Piping Rock Beach Club – Glen Cove
Pryibil Beach – Glen Cove
Ransom Beach – Bayville
Theodore Roosevelt Beach – Oyster Bay
Stehli Beach – Bayville
