At the 18th Annual Nassau County Legislature’s “Women of Distinction Awards”, Legislator Richard Nicolello honored Elaine Phillips, Mayor of the Village of Flower Hill for her dedicated service to the community and county.
Mayor Phillips is serving her third term as Mayor of Flower Hill. Previously, when Elaine was a resident of Munsey Park, she served as a Trustee on that Village Board. She has been active in a variety of community organizations including, President of the Munsey Park School Community Association, a member of the Manhasset Schools’ Citizens’ Advisory Committee on Finance, and a member of the Buckley County Day School’s Board of Trustees.
Legislator Nicolello stated: “Elaine has the unique ability and determination to get things done both as a community leader and elected official. She is a “go-to” person to address community concerns and create solutions for the residents and for her colleagues in government.”
Elaine and her husband Andy have been married for 27 years and have three daughters, all of whom are trailblazers in their own right.
