WHAT: | Nassau County Legislator Siela Bynoe is hosting 4 seminars about the process of challenging your Nassau County property tax assessment. The workshop will be led by Nassau County Assessment experts and will cover key points on how to file a grievance of your tax assessment with the Nassau County Assessment review Commission. The workshop lasts approximately two hours and will include a step-by-step overview of the grievance process as well as a question and answer session to follow. |

Nassau County Department of Assessment staff will be equipped with direct access to the County’s property databases will be able to process the tax exemption applications on-site, including Basic & Enhanced STAR, Veterans, Senior Citizen, Cold War Veterans, Volunteer Firefighters & Ambulance Workers.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring an EXTRA COPY of their current tax bill, current Federal Income Tax Return, and proof of residency to the workshop to save time and speed up processing of the application.For more information on the workshops, please contact 516-571-6202 or email
