Ms. Dews joined Nassau County’s Office of Legislative Budget Review (OLBR) in February 2022 as a Senior Legislative Budget Analyst.
Her current responsibilities include the oversight and analysis of the budgets for Assessment Review Commission, Department of Assessment, District Attorney, Fire Commission, Office of Community Development/Office of Housing, and Shared Services.
She previously held the position of Financial Analyst in the Office of Community Development where she was responsible for the financial recording and oversight of HUD allocations to county-wide local nonprofits and municipalities. The HUD-assisted programs included CDBG, HOME, ESG, CDBG-R and CDBG-DR. She was also the lead contact pertaining to departmental audits. In addition, she held the position of Budget Analyst in the County’s Office of Management and Budget for upwards of four years before joining the Office of Legislative Budget Review (OLBR).
Ms. Dews received a Bachelor’s in Finance and Economics, a Master’s in Public Administration/Nonprofit Management, and a Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration.
