MISSION
The mission of the Nassau County Office of Emergency Management is to maintain a high level of preparedness, to reduce the vulnerability of the populace and property of the County resulting from natural, technological or civil disasters; to provide prompt and efficient services to persons victimized by disaster; to provide for rapid and orderly restoration and recovery following disasters; and to effectively educate the public regarding their responsibilities in responding to disasters affecting the County.
