The revenue manual summarizes the County’s major and minor revenue sources. Its purpose is to serve as the official central repository of information related to all sources of revenues for Nassau County, changes in fee rates and demand for services. The collection of this information in one place will assist the County to develop options to increase existing returns and identify future revenue source initiatives. The secondary purpose is to determine the impact that a proposed rate or fee change will have on a particular revenue source. Since Nassau County fees are set by different legislative authorities, this manual will give the County historical information that will enable department heads to propose these changes before the respective governing authority, for approval. Third, it will help identify County receivables so that policies with respect to collections are established.
