What is the Community Development Block Grant Program?
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program is a program that provides funding for housing and community development. The Office of Community Development receives a direct allocation of funds from U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) annually. The national objectives of the program are to benefit low and moderate income person, prevent or eliminate slum or blight, and address urgent community development needs.
